1. No Government Affiliation Statement
EkDrishti (ekdrishti.online) is a private, independent, non-commercial, personal initiative maintained by an individual out of personal funds. It is not a Government website and is not owned, operated, sponsored, approved, endorsed, certified, authorised or affiliated in any manner with the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), Indian Railways, the Ministry of Railways, NIC, CRIS, IRCTC, eMudhra, any Certifying Authority, any Public Sector Undertaking, or any Central, State or Local Government body.
The website does not impersonate any authority, does not issue official decisions, instructions, circulars or notifications, does not modify, host or access any Government database, and does not process any application, tender, grievance or service request. It functions solely as an informational directory of publicly available links that redirects users to the official portals of the concerned authorities.
Nothing on this website may be represented, reproduced or forwarded as an official Government communication. Any such representation by any person is unauthorised and is expressly disclaimed by the maintainer.
2. Privacy Policy
We follow a strict data-minimisation approach: we collect the least personal data technically necessary to serve a web page.
We do NOT collect:
- usernames, passwords, OTPs or credentials for any portal (we will never ask);
- Digital Signature Certificates (DSC), private keys, tokens or PINs;
- Aadhaar, PAN, employee number, service records, salary or banking details;
- confidential, classified or departmentally restricted documents;
- biometric, health, financial or children's data.
What may be processed:
- Technical/access logs generated by the hosting provider (IP address, user-agent, referrer, timestamp, requested URL) for security, abuse prevention and uptime diagnostics, retained only for a short operational period;
- Local browser storage used for functional preferences (for example, to remember that a notice was dismissed) — this never leaves your device;
- Correspondence you voluntarily send by email or messaging, kept only as long as needed to answer you.
We do not sell, rent, barter, monetise or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not perform profiling, behavioural advertising or automated decision-making. Detailed provisions are also available on the Privacy Policy page.
3. Terms of Service
These terms form a binding agreement between you (the "User") and the maintainer of EkDrishti (the "Owner"). Access is offered free of charge, without any service-level commitment, contract of service, agency, partnership or employment relationship. The Owner may modify, restrict, suspend or permanently discontinue the website, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice or liability.
The website is intended for lawful, personal, informational use by adults. Use of the website constitutes acceptance of these terms as published at the time of your access. Additional provisions appear on the Terms of Use page.
4. General Disclaimer
All content, links, tools, articles, feeds and download references are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty or representation of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including without limitation warranties of accuracy, completeness, currency, title, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted access, or freedom from errors, viruses or malicious code.
Nothing here constitutes legal, financial, technical, employment, departmental or professional advice. Always verify critical information from the official Government portal concerned before acting. Reliance on this website is entirely at the User's own risk.
6. Copyright Policy
The original text, structure, layout, design, graphics, arrangement and source code of EkDrishti are the intellectual property of the Owner and are protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 and applicable international treaties. Users may view, browse and print pages for personal, non-commercial reference. Any other reproduction, republication, mirroring, redistribution, framing, translation, adaptation or commercial exploitation requires prior written permission.
Government material referenced here (names, circulars, portal titles, notifications) remains the property of the respective authority and is used only for identification and navigation. No Government data is copied into any database maintained by this website.
7. Intellectual Property Notice
All third-party names, marks, logos, emblems, service marks, portal names and product names are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on this website is purely descriptive, for identification of the destination of a link, and does not imply ownership, sponsorship, licence, association or endorsement. No licence to any intellectual property is granted by implication, estoppel or otherwise.
8. Fair Use Statement
Any limited use of third-party names, titles, headlines, short extracts or descriptive text is made in good faith as nominative and fair dealing use under Section 52 of the Copyright Act, 1957, for the purposes of reporting current events, review, criticism, research and private study, and for enabling accurate navigation to official sources. Such use is non-commercial, attributed where required, and does not substitute the original work. Rights holders who disagree may use the takedown procedure in Clause 24.
9. External Links Disclaimer
This website functions primarily as a directory of outbound links. External websites are not under our control. Links, URLs, portal addresses and procedures may change, expire, move or be withdrawn at any time without notice. We make no representation regarding the accuracy, legality, security, availability, currency or content of any external site, and inclusion of a link is not an endorsement.
Once you follow an outbound link you leave EkDrishti and are governed exclusively by the terms and privacy policy of the destination site. Any transaction, submission or dealing on such site is solely between you and that site. Always confirm that the address in your browser's address bar is the genuine official domain before entering any credentials.
10. Third-Party Services Disclosure
Operation of this website may involve third-party service providers, including hosting and CDN providers, domain registrars, font and script CDNs, email providers, UPI/payment apps used directly by donors, and embedded widgets (for example, publicly displayed business reviews or maps). These providers process technical data on their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control their practices and disclaim liability for them. We do not transfer any personal data to them for advertising purposes.
11. API, RSS & Feed Usage Disclosure
News, notices and current-affairs items shown on this website are retrieved from licensed APIs, public RSS/Atom feeds and openly published sources, and are displayed with source attribution and, where applicable, a link to the original publisher. Copyright in such content remains with the originating publisher. Headlines and summaries are displayed in the form supplied by the feed; we do not alter their meaning, do not claim authorship, and do not store Government or publisher databases.
Feed content is delivered automatically and may be delayed, incomplete or withdrawn at source. Publishers who wish their feed to be removed may write to us and it will be removed promptly.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, the Owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary loss or damage whatsoever — including loss of data, corruption or damage to devices, DSC tokens or certificates, loss of profits or opportunity, missed tender, application or filing deadlines, rejected bids, service interruption, or any loss caused by a third-party website, driver, download, feed or service referenced here — whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statute or otherwise, and even if the Owner has been advised of the possibility of such loss.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, the Owner's aggregate liability to any User, for all claims arising in any twelve-month period, is limited to INR 1,000 (Rupees One Thousand only). The website is free of charge; no consideration is received from Users for its use.
13. User Responsibilities
- Verify every critical detail on the official Government portal before acting on it.
- Never share passwords, OTPs, DSC PINs or confidential departmental documents with this website, its maintainer, or anyone claiming to represent it.
- Keep your own device, browser, antivirus and DSC drivers updated and secure.
- Ensure your use complies with your employer's IT, conduct and data-security rules.
- Report broken, outdated, unsafe or infringing links so they can be corrected.
- Do not rely on this website for any statutory deadline, filing or legal obligation.
14. Prohibited Uses
You must not, and must not permit any person or system to:
- scrape, crawl at unreasonable rates, harvest, mirror, frame, index for resale, or systematically extract the website or its database;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code or underlying structure except to the limited extent permitted by law;
- probe, scan, penetration-test, stress-test or attempt unauthorised access to the site, its hosting infrastructure, APIs or any linked system, without prior written permission;
- deploy bots, scripts, automated agents, denial-of-service techniques or any measure that imposes unreasonable load;
- upload, transmit or link malware, spyware, ransomware or malicious code;
- impersonate EkDrishti, its maintainer, RDSO, Indian Railways or any authority; create look-alike domains, clone pages, fake "support" channels or phishing copies; or solicit payments, credentials or documents in the name of this website;
- submit false, misleading, abusive, defamatory or fraudulent support requests, complaints or takedown notices;
- transmit content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, official secrecy or confidentiality obligations, including classified or departmentally restricted material;
- use the website for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable law.
The Owner may block any user, IP address, network or automated agent without notice or explanation, preserve technical logs as evidence, and report suspected offences to the competent authorities. Violations may attract liability under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including Sections 43, 43A, 65, 66, 66C, 66D and 66F), the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and the Copyright Act, 1957.
15. Data Protection Statement (DPDP Act, 2023)
To the extent any personal data is processed, the Owner acts as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and processes such data lawfully, for the specified purpose of operating a secure and functioning website, and for no longer than necessary. Processing is limited to legitimate uses and to consent voluntarily given by you when you contact us.
As a Data Principal you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, to seek correction, completion, updating or erasure, to nominate, to withdraw consent, and to grievance redressal. Because we deliberately hold almost no personal data, in most cases there will be nothing to disclose or erase. Requests may be sent through the contact page and will be answered within a reasonable period; unresolved grievances may be escalated to the Data Protection Board of India. Where the GDPR applies to a visitor, equivalent rights are honoured on the same basis.
16. Security Policy & CERT-In Compliance
The website is served over HTTPS/TLS and reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are applied, proportionate to a non-commercial personal project that stores no user accounts and no sensitive personal data. No method of internet transmission or storage is perfectly secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Consistent with the CERT-In Directions of 28 April 2022, the Owner endeavours to maintain system logs, synchronise time with NPL/NIC NTP sources through the hosting provider, and report any reportable cyber-security incident to CERT-In within six hours of becoming aware of it. Security researchers may report vulnerabilities in good faith through the contact page; please do not test destructively, access other users' data, or disclose publicly before we have had a reasonable opportunity to remediate.
17. Trademark Acknowledgement
"RDSO", "Indian Railways", "IRCTC", "CRIS", "NIC", "Parichay", "eOffice", "HRMS", "IREPS", "AIMS", "eMudhra", and all other names, emblems and logos referred to on this website are the registered or common-law trademarks, emblems or property of their respective owners. Use of the Indian national emblem and other restricted emblems is governed by the Emblems and Names (Prevention of Improper Use) Act, 1950; this website does not use or display any such restricted emblem in a manner suggesting Government authority. All references are nominative and descriptive only.
18. Accuracy of Information Disclaimer
Content is compiled in good faith from publicly available sources and may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect at any time without notice. Government URLs, procedures, forms, driver versions and instructions change frequently. The Owner does not undertake to update any page, and no obligation of currency is assumed. In the event of any conflict between this website and an official source, the official source prevails absolutely.
19. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
Parts of the website's text, summaries, code, images or explanatory content may be drafted, translated or assisted by artificial-intelligence tools and are reviewed on a best-effort basis only. AI-assisted output may contain errors, omissions or outdated statements ("hallucinations"). Such content is informational, is not professional or official advice, and must be independently verified before reliance. Where AI content is identified as inaccurate, it will be corrected or removed on notice.
20. Availability Disclaimer
The website is provided on a best-effort basis with no guarantee of uptime, continuity, data retention or continued existence. It may be slowed, suspended, migrated, or permanently shut down at any time — including on expiry or non-renewal of hosting or the domain name — without notice and without liability. Users should not build any workflow, bookmark dependency or business process that requires this website to remain available.
21. Donations Disclaimer
Contributions are entirely voluntary gifts towards domain, hosting and maintenance costs. They are not a purchase, subscription, membership, investment, fee for service or donation to a charitable institution; they create no contract, entitlement, warranty, priority support, preferential treatment or obligation of continued operation; and they are non-refundable.
No exemption or receipt under Section 80G of the Income-tax Act, 1961 or any other statute is offered or implied, and no foreign contribution is solicited or accepted (FCRA, 2010). Payments are made directly through your own UPI/banking application to the maintainer's published handle; we never receive, store or process card, bank or UPI credentials. Never pay any handle, QR code, link or person other than the one displayed on this website itself. Naming a supporter on any "Supporters" listing is optional, at the supporter's request, and confers no rights.
22. Volunteer Project Statement
EkDrishti is built and maintained in the maintainer's personal time and at personal cost, in an individual capacity. It is not an official duty, assignment, deliverable or representation of any employer or organisation, and no employer endorses, funds, supervises or is responsible for it. Any informal troubleshooting help offered to colleagues (eOffice, DSC, browser or portal issues) is provided free of charge, as a goodwill best-effort courtesy, without warranty, without any professional or fiduciary relationship, and without liability of any kind. Such help never involves the sharing of passwords, OTPs or restricted documents.
23. Contact & Grievance Policy
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder, and the DPDP Act, 2023, grievances may be addressed to the Grievance Officer / Maintainer of EkDrishti via the contact page (email: brainimmensity@gmail.com). Please state your name, contact details, the exact page URL, the nature of the grievance and any supporting material.
Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours where practicable and resolved within 15 days of receipt, subject to the constraints of a single-person volunteer project. We cannot process any departmental application, tender, transfer, service or official grievance — those must be raised with the concerned authority directly. Do not send credentials or restricted documents; such messages are deleted unread.
24. Content Removal / Takedown Policy
We remove promptly, and without requiring a court order, any content that is shown to be infringing, unlawful, misleading, confidential, restricted or unsafe. Send a written notice with: (a) your identity and contact details; (b) the exact URL(s) complained of; (c) the precise ground of objection; (d) proof of your right or authority; and (e) a good-faith statement that the complaint is accurate.
Valid notices are actioned as expeditiously as possible, and in any event within the timelines prescribed by the applicable Intermediary Guidelines. Frivolous, false or abusive notices may be rejected and retained as record. Removal of content is not an admission of liability.
25. Copyright Complaint Procedure
Rights holders alleging infringement under the Copyright Act, 1957 and Rule 75 of the Copyright Rules, 2013 (or the DMCA, where applicable) should submit a written complaint containing a description of the work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, evidence of ownership or authorisation, the complainant's address and contact details, and an undertaking to file infringement proceedings within 21 days if required. Complying material will be disabled expeditiously. Counter-notices from the affected party will be considered on the same terms.
26. Compliance with the Information Technology Act, 2000
To the extent the website is treated as an intermediary or publisher, the Owner endeavours to comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, including publication of these rules and policies, prohibition of unlawful content, appointment of a contact point for grievances, and expeditious removal of unlawful content on actual knowledge or lawful order. The Owner claims the protections available under Section 79 of the Act and does not initiate, select the receiver of, or modify the information contained in third-party links or feeds.
27. Compliance with the Indian Copyright Act
The website respects the Copyright Act, 1957. It hosts no pirated software, no cracked drivers, no paywalled publications and no unauthorised reproductions of official documents. Software and driver references point only to the vendor's or authority's own official download page. Where extracts are shown, they are limited, attributed and made under the fair dealing exceptions of Section 52.
28. Government Digital Content Best Practices
While this is not a Government website and the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) do not bind it, the Owner voluntarily follows their spirit: clear identification of the site as unofficial, prominent disclaimers, accessible and readable design, dated content, working outbound links reviewed periodically, a visible contact and grievance route, and no use of Government emblems, seals or styling that could mislead a visitor into believing the site is official.
29. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These policies and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with the website (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction. Parties shall attempt good-faith resolution through the grievance procedure before commencing proceedings.
30. Changes to These Policies
These policies may be amended at any time to reflect legal, technical or operational changes. The version published on this page at the time of your access governs your use, and the "last updated" date above indicates the current version. Continued use after any change constitutes acceptance.
31. Severability, Waiver & Entire Agreement
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed or read down to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. No failure or delay in enforcing any right constitutes a waiver of it. Together with the Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, this document constitutes the entire understanding between you and the Owner regarding the website and supersedes all prior statements.
Important note
This legal package is drafted conservatively for a non-commercial personal information directory. It is not a substitute for advice from a practising advocate on your specific facts; have it reviewed before relying on it in any dispute.
